My computer set-up has unfortunately ran into a bottleneck. And with the quality of files I’m producing, render times are taking longer and longer as I add more detail into my files. I also wish to keep every sample, every audio backed up for future works.
My current setup is outdated and no-longer fit for purpose, and I need help from my supporters to fund a new super-set up. This includes a top-end PC to enhance render times, and remove the slow-down I’m currently experiencing when editing files. With my current set-up, my editing software experiences extreme slowdown, and is limiting the quality of work I know I can provide. Revenue I currently earn is mostly paying my overheads for sustaining the website, and paying myself to ensure I can make this my full time job (Further enabling me to continue providing content for you all). The super set-up will also include top of the line audio and recording equipment such as studio monitors, professional microphone for me to record my own scripts (Enabling me to continue my high quality unique scripts without the aid of external talent), audio interface, modulators and soundpads. It will also fund a 10 Terabyte storage powerhouse, in which, I can store hundreds of thousands of soundbites for editing, a massively library of plugins to play around with to create even more unique audios. And of course, a multi-monitor set up to make the most of my screen-space, allowing me more creative freedoms.
With a set-up like this, my files will become a million times better, higher quality, longer, more frequent, more intense. And will also enable me to explore other ventures such as videos too. If we can reach this goal, SomniSonica will become a powerhouse producing out-of-this world audios and videos.

Have you considered a standalone recorder such as a ZOOM R8 or R24? Less than $500 USD… Add a respectable condenser mic, pop filter and backboard I’ve always found recording and light mixing easier on the standalone hardware, and most importantly more stable. They record to SD cards but interface with PCs easily if you want to move the audio files to a computer. If you set them to card reader mode you can cut/paste the files from the SD into whatever drive or external storage you want to archive them and free up recording room on the hardware super fast. They’d be more than adequate for the task and depending on how you use them they could help cut production time…
They’re so much more user friendly than a lot of recording software.
